Ibanez 5 and 6 String Club...

Who else owns an Ibanez 5 or 6 string bass? I think Ibanez is highly underrated, given their price point. Quality with CNC on mass produced basses has improved greatly over the years. True these aren't the boutique bass many own (and I have too), but I am totally loving the tone, playability, and feel of my new Ibanez SR206.

Show them off! Whatcha got?

Probably not what you had in mind, bit it's 5 string and it's an Ibanez. ;)

I have a bunch of them, but some I can't get at for a week or so as I'm building a recording area at home and many of my instruments are blocked in a room with furniture stacked in front of the door temporarily. There was nowhere else to put it.

Here's the list.

SR375
SR655e
ATK305
SRC6
BTB846v
SR206
SR806

I'd really like one of those and / or an 1826.

I'm in!
Here's my EHB1506MS.
I bought it June 2 2024.
It's my very first headless multi-scale bass.

That looks amazing! So much better than the picture on their website. I want the 6 string, but may get the lower priced model, I think I would like the "dark" souding Bartolini's better than the Nordy's... but the wood top on your looks beautiful. Still a long time before I make my purchase, I need to sub a couple of more gigs! :)

Side by side, they don't look all that different in size. I have single scale SRs and a BTBv and was concerned the BTB806MS might feel gigantic but here it doesn't look that bad, so I might need to make a drive and try one out as an extended scale 5 or 6 is the only gap I can see in my arsenal.
The BTB is far less intimidating than it looks in regards to playing. Definitely give one a try, I think you'll like it.

My Ibanez SR306E. It was distorting on the B and E strings so I had to change the pickup to bartolini bh2.. sounds great and balanced like the SR506E
