{} {} {} {} {} {} {} Back on the chopping block I have a pristine condition Ibanez atk 1200 for sale or for trade. I currently have only 4 string basses, and because of CITES, this is the easiest one in my collection to ship across the border. These were the last ATK’s to be made in Japan, and they are extremely hard to find. It's an amazing bass. Every time I play it, I change my mind about selling it. Trade interests: 5 string basses I'm selling it with a gig bag, (I never got the original case when I purchased it.) I have a mono vertigo bag that I can sell along with it if interested. I can ship it with the neck off if you'd like to save on shipping. Here are the specs: 2 piece center matched swamp ash body 3 piece hard rock maple neck - three piece for rigidity and stability 12” neck radius 1.675” nut width - feels like a P bass The neck is thicker than any other Ibanez Basses I’ve played, it feels like an American standard P bass. I absolutely adore how the neck feels Ibanez sonic arch pickups Ibanez 3 band preamp - bass, mid, treble 9lb 8oz weight (9 1/2lbs) Playability This bass can do anything. The pickup configurations are amazing It can convincingly do the Pbass sound, 70’s jazz bass sound, and stingray sound (not as much gank as a stingray) No fret wear, plays super clean all the way up with super low action. No dings or dents. Maybe some slight surface scratches, but I don’t actually see any.
Man the japanese atks are really something. I had an older atk300 and even that thing was a blast. Good luck with the sale.
I just string the bass up with a new set of DR Hibeams. It sounded good with the ernie balls, but man the hibeams take it to another level!, I just may end up pulling the listing and keep it.
I guess these atks just aren't that popular. I'll give it till the end of the weekend, before I decide to just keep it. The more I play it,the more I realize it's got one of the most comfortable neck profiles ever.
i have three ATKs and one Bunker ATk in the works. Love them, love them, love them! If and when i ever build a bass from scratch it will probably be based on the ATK.
If only I was a rich man! Atk is one of the most underrated basses out there. Good luck with the sale
This is sweet. Was this the one that was at Luthier's Access Group for a while? Do these have a bridge pickup coil tap and an active kill switch?
