Ibanez BTB405 vs. ESP F205

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by PanteraFan, Feb 17, 2002.

  1. I just saw the ESP F205 on their site, and I love the looks. The specs seem ok, but I just thought I'd ask you TB'ers for your opinions and comparisons of each bass, and the pluses and minuses of each. Tightness of B string is a major factor for me.

Yeah I like my BTB, the B-String isn't too tight nor too loose, and it has a nice warm low B as well.:p

  4. Wouldn't this depend upon strings too, though?

And Brendan, why the BTB over the ESP?

  5. I own the ESP and to put it simply i am very happy with it, I love the feel of it and the fast action.

The BTB has a better B string.

The electronics will be pretty similar, unless you spring for the BTB 515 with Bartolinis. But it costs quite a bit more than the 405 or the ESP.
