I'm a little unsure about this, but I'm gonna take a breath and put it out there. I have to fund a new bass that will eventually get a fretless neck, and I've got L2000's that cop the MM tone at the bridge too. Quite simply too many fretless basses here right now. I've had this a few years now. I got it in a quest for a modern sounding fretless. it really sounds and plays great. The bonus is the sweet passive/traditional tones it can generate too! The neck is killer-the prior/original owner got it while working for Ibanez, and the serial # is his name. The neck is super solid and slim front to back. Nice poly coating holding up beautifully. currently strung w/LaBella rounds. ATK's aren't lightweights, but it's fine on a wide strap. I used a souldier 3" bass strap. includes very nice OHSC. Here is the original sale post, with plenty of info, specs, and pics.. SOLD - Ibanez Fretless ATK any more questions, or photos, just ask. Thanks! $450 shipped in Conus via UPS.
here are a couple quick pics to show the body and headstock. note the glossy poly'd neck, too.. {} {}
a tic wider than a jazz-about 1.6" pretty thin front to back. i like jazzes (small hands) and this is easy to play. it was 'custom' in that it was actually a prototype, but it was made by Ibanez..
Hopefully this marks the end of a very long search for a fretless. I was thinking about a Stingray, but I think this may be better in a a lot of ways
