Why copy Ibanez when they can copy Fodera on Ali Express??
Wow, that is some serious detective work! Thanks for that!
I notified the seller, though I doubt they care.
this is where looking at basses for 10 hours a day on the internet becomes useful
Find me a 20 or 21 fret Jazz neck, maple, with a dark ebony fret board with white or pearloid block inlays, white binding, with black dots. Warmoth wants 600 for one. Ouch!
That sounds exactly like the neck on my MIJ 2007 Jaguar.
that sounds exactly like how i'd spec mine
except i might forgo the binding because i like the feel of rolled edge ebony. my ibanez SR1000 has that.
It looks to me like a very low end model, with an off brand bridge slapped on. If it is even an Ibby to begin with. The finish is a dead give away to it not being an Ibanez right of the bat. I dont think I've seen even a $100 starter Gio with that bad of paint job. The logo on the headstock is completely wrong, and they usually say the series in them (not always, but in this case being an SR style, it does. Gios also do. I think ATKs do as well.) And that bridge is not only a completely different bridge, its freaking huge. I've never seen any Ibanez with those godsmack suns as inlays either. And those pick ups look chincy as hell. Brandless. But, if it's less than 100 bucks and you like how it looks, it might be worth a fret job. Then maybe a pick up swap later down the road.
Yup. That's it
It’s not an Ibanez... it’s an Ivebeenhad
Is the D tuner broken?
The seller never responded, so I reported the ad. It's gone now, unsure if it sold or was taken down.
