ibanez musician

    i think i found a deal on a bass it a ibanez musician . im not too shure of the model # it has dual pickup and i belive a eq it a 4 string and it fretted. a guy i know is selling it i didnt show much intrest . because i heard they very disireable . it has some road rash on the back but not too bad over all it need a good going over. i think i could get it for about 200.00 or less. it comes with the hard shell case with the velvet lined. any help would be great . :help:

    If it's basically straight, plays well and is in decent or better cosmetic condition, $US200 is a good deal. I've seen them go on ebay for $600+ for the MC924 active version in v. good condition. It's a very good bass provided you like how it plays and sounds. When I buuy a bass of that age I assume it needs a thorough setup, pot clean and new strings.

    Good score then. No idea about spare except for a parted out one on ebay. The electronics are probably servicable if need be, but I'm not sure if the component parts are still made, ie does it use std opamps etc.

    No. I've read here of Ibanez not even having parts for basses currently in production! They are notorious for using wierd parts and having zero support.

    Thoses are great basses, really. I'm waiting for my Musician fretless. :hyper:

    For me, at 200$, you steal it. It worth really more.
