Just hought I would give a lil info back to the Talkbass community here.

So lately I've been really messing with my rig. Selling stuff, thinking of trades, etc. So I took out my BMax to be ready to sell or trade. I then thought what the heck am I gonna do in the meantime. Well, my Ibanez Phat Head has a clean channel on it. I switched to it, placed the Phat Head last in the pedal chain, and routed it straight to my QSC RMX 2450. After adjusting the level (volume), bass, and the gain on the QSC...presto! Coupled with my Boss Chourus I have a very usable tone...actually it's closer to the tone that I'm looking for than what the BMax was giving me. A very clean, straight from guitar, natural bass sound.

So if your pre ever konks out or your in a transitionary stage like me, this works wonders for very cheap.

I did it a couple times too. The clean boost is very efficient.
