    I might be buying a used Ibanez Roadstar;

    The instrument has been customised to death!

    It now sports two P pickups ( one black,one creme,maybe Dimarzio ),what appears to be a battery compartment on the back and prepare yourselves fot that,a strat style jack plate on the BACK of the instrument!!

    One of the reasons I may buy it; my fretless Squier could use a better P pickup. I may also be able to turn the Ibanez into a decent fretted 4 stringer .

    Thanks!

  2. Hi!

    I think they used to have a P type pickup nearest the neck and a single coil J type at the rear! (that was on the basic model which had a similar headstock to a Fender!). More upmarket variants in the range had larger pickup apertures as per the Ibanez Musician basses, and had 2 a side machines on the headstock.

    Hope this helps!
