Hey TB, I've recently been searching for an early model ibanez roadstar.

There seems to be little to no information about this ibanez series so I can't quite determine what the exact model series is. I've uploaded two pictures of the model I'm looking for so hopefully this helps.

I'd like to get a second bass to use as a backup to my kramer 450B and a solid electric for gigging as well. I don't generally gig with the kramer for risk of damage or it getting stolen.

If you have any info you can share or are able to steer me in the right direction to finding this bass, please help :help::D

I don't know the serial number. I've never seen one in person or even a picture showing a serial number

I remember playing a Roadstar when I was a kid. Perhaps the first time I realized that the US was in deep doodoo.

It was a good bass and I'm looking for a P to play with. I might succumb.

  9. Here's a 84' Roadstar II RB850 - twin (powerful) buckers w/coil split, vol, tone.

Just a couple. I knew it would be early mid-'80s. :smug:

Been on the lookout for a slightly earlier RS-840 or RS-940 myself.

There is one in Guitar Centers used section. Go to guitarcenter.com, click on used gear and search for roadstar. You'll see it.

FWIW, I've owned/played both the 2+2 and the 4-inline versions of the split-pickup Roadstars and they are both very good. Great Fujigen built P-basses...solid!!

I'm searching for either a Blazer or a P-style Roadstar... does anyone know the difference between them? (I believe they continued making the Roadstar after they discontinued the Blazer, but for a while they were available at the same time). For example something like this looks very similar to pictures of the Blazers I've seen (same headstock, body shape, etc.)

Also, if anyone has one of these they want to sell, let me know!
