Ibanez Roadster

    I just purchased an Ibanez Roadster on Ebay. It' should be here any day. I Like to see your Roasters and also any info you can give me on mine would be appreciated.

    werent those called roadstars?

    They made Roadsters and Roadstars. This is a Roadster according to the headstock.

    I'm sure I will. I had a roadster when I was about 14 yrs old. Wish I never sold it. I never saw one that looks like this one tho. Most have the 2x2 headstock.
     
  7. I have several high end basses and I still play my 79 Roadster more than any other bass. I love it! I have modified it heavily! It has EMG's as well as EMG 3 band electronics. It also has a Schaller roller bridge. I also did a pretty bad looking re-finish on it. It still screams though!

  8. I've owned the same model for about 12 years now, except mine is all maple (body, neck, fingerboard). Very reliable, practically indestructable. Used it over and over again in preference to 'nicer' basses that came and went.

    You may want to start working out though - these things are VERY heavy.
