    SoundGear 800 – Plays great, amazing fretboard. The pickups and preamp bring this bass to an all new level (very aggressive with the P pickup soloed). Made in Japan

    Made in Japan / F9747803

    Pickups: Dimarzio DP126-BK 4 String P/J Size Model J Split Coil Set ($120 upgrade)

    Preamp: Audere 4-band plus z-mode (the low hz setting is quieter, but I *think* that can be adjusted ($220 upgrade)

    Case or gigbag

    What are the preamp controls vs stock? Are there still cases and does it come with it?

    The new preamp has bass, treble, low mids, and high mids for eq settings; sounds very natural. Also has Volume and pickup pan for the other 2 knobs. The stock preamp was anemic by comparison and sounded artificial (the Audere preamps are amazing, as you will find any discussion on Talkbass about them).
    Yes, I still have 2 cases left (one went with the SR1200 that sold).

    How is this still available? If I could justify another bass right now, this would be it. Awesome looking deal.
