I've had an Ibanez Soundgear 885 5-string bass for about 2 years and I absolutely loathe this thing. I mean, it feels good and it sounds ok, but I've wanted to upgrade for a long time and this thing has practically fallen apart on me. Its resale value is pretty disappointing now, due to small cosmetic flubs (like the knobs getting smooshed together and going all weird, for example) and it generally being a dent magnet overall, I'm going to have to look in the middle price bracket for a good bass instead of getting that Warwick Thumb I've always wanted.

However, I recently checked out a Schecter Stiletto Custom and I loved it. It was a 4-string and I wanted to know if anyone has had experience with the 5-string. How good is it compared to the Soundgear? I mean, so far I love it but I don't know how well it behaves outside of the guitar store.
