I have a 1992 Ibanez Sr885 that I want to get rid of (maybe) Does anybody
know the going price on these things. I'm trying to decide if it's worth
keeping. It has the stock components and is in perfect shape. I never liked
it much so, I never played it much.

Although I'm not exactly sure of the amount you might get for that bass, keep in mind at least two factors that will definitely work in your favour: it is in good condition, and (more importantly) the SR885 is a Japanese-made instrument. These are higher up the trade-in/selling ladder than the Korean instruments of more recent years.

I purchased an SR885LE 5-string in 1991. I played it alot during the 90's. The stock electronics were always terrible, though. I finally replaced both pickups with Bartolinis. Even this couldn't really spruce up the sound of the thing. I finally decided to trade it in. Luckily, it was still pretty much in mint condition. The Barts certainly helped with my trade-in, but the fact that it was the Japanese version was extremely significant.

Good for you for keeping the bass in good shape.
