Ibanez Srx 505

I can't comment on a 505, because I haven't played on. I have played 700 (I think thats the upper level 4 string) and it was pretty good. The action could have been alittle lower, but the guy at the store wouldn't lower it for me Bastard..anyway, I found the bass TOO glossy..it almost looked like it was covered in plastic. The other weird thing were the pickups with the scooped out thumb rest, which is a good idea, just, not ussed to it. Although the tone was really good. But I don't know how much this is going to help seeing as that model was ash, and the 505 is like what, basswood?
