Great bass for the money. I have two. I own a Prestige 1005 as well and this has the same electronics and hardware. Not a bad setup right out of the box.
Is Guitar Trader still selling them? Better hurry! :D

It's the one bass I wish I'd never sold. With the Bart electronics and Prestige neck, it just sounds so solid. Buy it.

    warwickstoner,

The $399.00 deal includes the upgraded Barts.
Just buy the whole darn thing and you will not have to hassle with the new controls layout, ect.

    Glenn D.,
It is a great neck, but I don't think the neck is an actual "Prestige" even though it is made in Japan. My 1005 Prestige has fully crowned and polished frets and the both of my 510's have frets that have been leveled, but not crowned and polished. That can be cured with a trip to your favorite luthier and not too much $. Still a great deal.
