I'm looking at my '85 Ibanez Roadstar thinking "What the hell kind of pickup is that?
I mean, it's got one Giant soapbar-like pickup in the middle and a weird...jazz-like pickup at the bridge.
The bigger of the two is obviously a P-style setup just shoved into a larger plastic surrounding, but that bridge pickup is creeping me out!!
    check it out:
And if this is indeed a p/j setup would it sound good with flats?

    Everything sounds better with flats!

They are Ibanez pickups, FWIW, a PJ config in a soapbar mould. If they freak you out anymore and you want to part with them, PM me.;)

Ibanez used the word Roadster first, then changed to Roadstar. Michael Wright should be able to verify this, look up his book on Guitar Stories.
