ibenez sr 506 or yamaha rbx jm2

    im torn! which is better pricewise and which is better "better-wise"?

    Spend more, buy a used cirrus 6, be happier :p.

    Have you played either? Even though Yamaha's website doesn't list the nut width, I'm pretty sure it's much wider than the SR506.

    Personally I love the 506, can't ever seem to put one down.

    I love my 506.

    Some things to check out....

    JM2 = Alder, 506 = mahagony
    Both have oval type inlays
    JM2 has maple neck w/ (ebony?) fretboard, 506 has wenge/bubinga fretboard w/ rosewood fretboard
    JM2 has one SD pup, 506 has two Barts
    Both have 3 band active EQ
    JM2 is designed to be lighter than JM1 was, 506 is really light.



    Both of them are good, but I'm super happy I saved about 300 bucks and went with the 506.
