White Fender Jazz, have been told 1995, triple-ply white scratchplate (turtle shell finish), Headstock seems slightly slimmer than normal (as on the old "Lyte" series), 4 visable magnets per pick-up, "Schaller" style machine-heads, rosewood on maple neck, quite tight spaceing, jumbo frets, black access panel on back (not sure if this is for active circuitry or pot access?), 4 pot - volume, tone, stacked treble/bass, unknown,
Also has small gold "Fender 50" on back of headstock.

Any info on this bass and a general price (£/$) would be greatly appreiated.

With a Fender 50 sticker on the back, I would think it would be a 1996 since Leo formed the company in 1946 IIRC. My '96 Tex Mex Strat has the same decal...

The four knob preamp would be for the deluxe series...the lone knob at the end should be a midrange control... should be Volume, Balance, Treble/Bass and Midrange.

Is it a true Jazz Bass shape or a slightly modified one?

Search on eBay for "Jazz deluxe" in Musical Instruments.

I'll try to remember to look in my old Fender Frontline magazines when I get home tonight.

Are you in the US or somewhere else? Sometime Fender has different instruments for different markets...
