ID this speaker/cab for me--please!

    Our singer gave me this 4x10 tower to use the speakers for a monitor...but I'm trying to ID what ohms the speakers are, etc.
    Here's what I know from opening up the cab:
    sticker on the magnet says: UTAH, Huntington, Ind.
    the speaker housing is stamped with: MH12 PXC and 328125.

    anybody have any ideas. I've run a few searches and come up empty...

    Can you get you hands on a multimeter. You can use it to measure the DC resistance. Note this is not the same as the "nominal impedance" as quoted by the manufacturers, but it should give you a good idea.

    For example, all my bass speakers are 8 ohms nominal impedance. When I measure the DC resistance with a multimeter, they all come in at 6 and a bit Ohms.

    My car speakers are 4 ohms nominal impedance. When I measure the DC resistance on a multimeter, they register at 3 and a bit ohms.

    So it's not 100% accurate but it should give you a pretty good idea.
