Our singer gave me this 4x10 tower to use the speakers for a monitor...but I'm trying to ID what ohms the speakers are, etc.
Here's what I know from opening up the cab:
sticker on the magnet says: UTAH, Huntington, Ind.
the speaker housing is stamped with: MH12 PXC and 328125.

anybody have any ideas. I've run a few searches and come up empty...

    thanks!:D

Can you get you hands on a multimeter. You can use it to measure the DC resistance. Note this is not the same as the "nominal impedance" as quoted by the manufacturers, but it should give you a good idea.

For example, all my bass speakers are 8 ohms nominal impedance. When I measure the DC resistance with a multimeter, they all come in at 6 and a bit Ohms.

My car speakers are 4 ohms nominal impedance. When I measure the DC resistance on a multimeter, they register at 3 and a bit ohms.

So it's not 100% accurate but it should give you a pretty good idea.
