The Ashbory Bass, that little dinky thing? I was playing one this weekend, and I thought it was a toy (not literally), but here's where the idea is: I wonder how those sillicon rubber strings would sound if you beefed them up for a regular 34" scale bass? Intersesting concept there....

I've never had a chance to play that puppy.
Do those strings feel "loose" on the Ashbory?
I'm thinkin' they would have to be HUGE for a 34" scale.
That, or re-formulated to make them stiffer.

If you've got a bass with a piezo pup, you can't go wrong
with TI's Acousticores. Nylon core with phosphor-bronze wrap.
    I know...`ya hear "phosphor-bronze" and you're thinkin' big ol'
Tacoma or Ovation. They'll work there too.
For all the experimentin' ($$$) I've done lookin' for an
upright tone from a bass gee-tar, this is as close as I've found.
