Idea's on a J pickup

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by 74rickbass, Sep 20, 2002.

  1. I have a old early 80's schecter P-bass copy (great bass By the way) with P/J pickups and the bridge j pickup buzzes everytime I put my finger on it. (not just the pole pieces) and not just that I don't like the sound. what's a faily cheap (50-100) J pickup that has a vintage sound (don't say fender custom shop 60's j pickups please)

    What are basslines like?

Just curious as to why not the Fender??? It's a smokin' pickup IMO and right in your price range... Definitely my choice...

  3. Oh...ok, mabye I might get the fender, I just though that the basslines were better.
  4. Oh BTW, does anybody know why the pickup on my bass buzzes, all I have to do is touch it anyware on the pup and it buzzes?
