63A999E5-93B4-48D8-BC68-FE24DC122763.jpeg Hi, I need help identifying an old bass.
It doesnt have a brand or serial number on it, only ”made in Japan”.
But i reverse Google image searched it and came across an ibanez bass from the 60s that looked very similar.
I contacted Ibanez and they said it looked like an old Teisco bass, but i cant find any information about it.
    I’ll attach some pictures.

Yes, it's an early '60s Ibanez model, sometimes also branded Maxitone or Goldentone.
These were built either by Teisco or at Hoshino Gakki's TAMA plant that burned down after just a few years.

    Out there!
You'll have to do some research to find another one, or something else from that era and with similar features in a MIJ bass to get an assessment as to value and whether they are even desirable enough to put much effort into selling it.
