Identify these songs from these mp3 bassline clips

  1. The second one sounds like Mike Oldfields Tubular Bells, kind of a short clip for a song that takes 2 sides of a LP.
    No idea on #1
     
  2. hmmm, Tubular bells?
    I can see the similarity in the 16ths with quick note changes, but the actual track is a lot more modern ambient in style.
    the bassline might even be sequenced. it has a vibraphone part over it.
     
  3. aha- just been told on another forum that the second "ambient16ths" one appears in Bomb the bass' "Bug powder dust".
    it's sampled from Flora Purim's "open your eyes you can fly".
    info on ubl.com suggests that Alphonso Johnson played it.
    the bubbly bridge p/up fretless-sounding 16th note playing on that track sounds reminiscent of Jaco Pastorius, who also recorded with Flora Purim.
