So I was listening to Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn." That song is great in terms of production, and the bass, to my ears, is pretty damn perfect. Some nice Phil Thornalley work (also, notably, Pornography).

Curious to see if they recreated the tone live, and they did a good job of it.

Looks like an 8x10 cab in most videos, but, for the life of me, I can't figure out the model of that bass.

A Jazz style bass with rear rout controls. No skunk stripe on the neck, grover tuners, and it looks like a Fender headstock shape. Can't make out the headstock marking, and there doesn't seem to be any markings on the reverse side. Videos tend to be from around '98, so the quality isn't great.

Well, that looks like that may have solved it already.

I had looked at Yamaha because it looked like their logo, but I gave up quickly after not seeing any likely candidates of that style, but it looks like a Yamaha control scheme, pickguard, the gold bridge...

Time to dig a little deeper. Thanks!

If it is a 1500A those are pretty nice basses.
