Identifying a 80’s Fernandes revival jazz bass

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Jimmy Aloha, Apr 16, 2018.

  1. hello! I bought a used 80’s revival jazz bass in candy apple red a couple of months ago. I got it at a ridiculous price. I guess the market for used Japanese basses in japan in general is a great market. I am having trouble identifying which model it is. I am thinking it’s a rjb-75 or rjb-65 in a custom color. Can anyone help me identify its true identity? 35304799-E829-4EBB-BCCB-DE5558438DA5.jpeg AF653B65-41E6-473B-81F5-3438D828F489.jpeg 75E473BF-9DF2-4D40-94B3-EAE3076EB4FB.jpeg 440084C2-45F0-4E73-9F39-6DCA32D32659.jpeg
  2. It has an excellent vintage tone! Whoever had it before me really beat it up. They ripped out the frets and really messed it up. I refretted it and gave it some tlc. It plays and sounds amazing now!
