I recently bought a second hand "customized" 5-Strings BassCollection (that's the brand, not a whole bunch of 5-str basses ;) ), and love it ...
But, I can't contact the guy who've done some modifications on the bass : he added 2 barts pickups (but no preamp) and a very nice Gotoh bridge.
I would like to had a preamp and I need to know the barts model.
Where I can find it ?
    Is it under ?
(I ask this because I don't want to remove 'em if it's no use.)

  2. The model number is usually engraved on the plate on the underside of the pup. You will have to lift them to see it. Then go to http://www.bartolini.com and match a preamp to them, and to the sound you want. You will be amazed, as most Barts sound heaps better when run thru a preamp than running passive.

    Thx for the answer.
Do you recommand to let a shop do the work or can it be done easily ? (I mean adding a preamp)
