Picked up a bass and guy said it had a Custom Shop 60s P Pup in it. It sounds a bit different from the other Am Stds i've had that have those PUPs in it. Is there a way (serial number series or identifying marks) that can help me identify whether or not it is actually a CS60 PUP?

Not the end of the world if it isn't but I just want to be able to verify whether it is a different pickup or maybe a set up issue.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jazz pickups?
They should have cloth covered wires, one black, one white, and a CS sticker on the cover.
Look underneath and they're colour-coded: blue dot for neck and red dot for bridge.

Thanks. This one is a P Pup but I will see if any of those things "sticker" are under them.
