Hey TB, Recently I picked up a used MIM p bass to join my arsenal of basses. I plugged it in, immediately loved the sound, but the bass itself had a pretty hot output compared to my Aerodyne with GZR pups in it. The pups in the P have no identification marks on them, and look like standard pickups, with poles that are slightly risen above the plastic guard. If these are just the standard MIM pickups, then I'm incredibly impressed, but they have a super hot output, which doesn't vibe with my setup super well.

Two main questions are, is there a way to identify pickups with no markers...

and what is a pickup with a similar output to the EMG GZR pickups?

Can you lower the pickup to try to match the output of the GZR?
