I dunno, they made alluminum uprights and a lot of people seemed to think they sounded pretty good actually.

True. I would like to hear it too. But I don't think that we will get any bites, at that price.
If I remember correctly, the Fender Custom Shop made some aluminum-body Stratocasters. I don't know how they sounded, though.
An instuctor/luthier friend of mine has one- sounds sweet when bowed, awful plucked. There's a natural resonance/reverb that can work or not work for a given situation. None of this probably relates to the above beast, though.

IIRC the Fender Harley-Davidson aluminum strat had the usual comfort contours.
I woudl bet it sounds better than the luthite instruments... but $2500? I wanta Sadowsky for that price.
