...in which forum do you post?
I mean, those instruments are in the bass clef, too.
Obviously, I play tuba. I have made a few threads about it. Make them in the Miscellaneous forum. That is for music, but non-bass related stuff.
Okey, let me be a little more clear about my point.
You arrive on the home page for talkbass.com and select "Forums" You then see three subheadings: Bass Guitar, Double Bass, and Paul's Shack
Sure, you can post under miscellaneous, but should you go to
TalkBass Forums > Bass Guitar > Miscellaneous [BG]
TalkBass Forums > Double Bass > Miscellaneous [DB] ?
There are more than just bass guitar and double bass out here in the deep end. Where is the best place for me to talk with other didgeridoo players? Am I the only one on this message board?
BTW, I play bass guitar, too.
Tuba, bari sax, bass sax post in Bass Guitar, Miscellaneous.
Bassoon and bass clarinet, post in Double Bass, Rosin.
Didgeridoo, post in the Steel Guitar Forum, or someplace else far from here.
Steel Guitar Forum
I'd personally post it in BG misc simply because there are many more people then in DB.
on BG, there is more risk of some troll or some all around idiot posting some totally random, rude, or other wise unneeded comment.
There are a few other people here who play didgeridoo.
ChaosGwar, Hilikus, Bard2dbone, phreaky, Basman, The_Bass, mrbungle, LizardKing45, APouncer, Cornbread and Monkey. Dave Siff and BassBarbie have mentioned trying to play one, as well.
I play didge, too. I post in Steel Guitars.
I play the didjeridoo also, however I've never really felt the need to post about it.
Didgy player here, mate.. all the way from sunny Austr.. uh.. Holland
How about Contra-Bass Clarinet, Bass Recorder, Bass banjo, Bass Trombone etc.
Also in Double Bass, Rosin. There's plenty of room in there.
And let's don't forget about the Bass Drum
Bass banjo? There is such a thing?
I had always heard a gentleman was someone that knew how to play banjo but didn't.
And I play Didjeridu too. I even used to play tuba, but I got over it.
Someone mention Didgeridoo????
Never mind, get your mum to make you some Marmite sandwiches with a nice cup of tea and it'll be alright!!
BLASPHEMY! lets kill him while we still can.
Have you guys tried to blow the didge in someone's..peanuts? It's really funny!
Too bad no girls let me try it..
Ask and ye shall receive.
It must be noted that the mustache is an often underrated part of bass banjo technique.
