Ever since I saw Ikuzo Baba playing one of these babies, I've lusted after it. But I don't have any idea how to get one, much less where. It's on ESP's site, but my Japanese has declined over the years and I can't find the right order page. Either way, has anyone played one of these?

Interesting...the headstock looks like a bad Dean, the body is one of those weird "Japanese protoplasm-amoebic" designs, and whoever designed it must be one hell of an aggressive player, because the controls are way up top. Never seen one before- kinda cool. Definitely different!

It sure is different. Ikuzo's not much of an agressive player on most of the tracks I've heard (only about 150), but he can do some pretty sweet tricks every now and then. Here's a better shot of the common headstock on his models:

I think the minute Dragon Ash started raking it in, he left his Thunderbird and Carvin for dead in favor of a ton of those.

  4. ahhhh.the ultra-modern Japanese aesthetic...not my thing at all...

I do appreciate all the angles and stuff...just not my thing, like I said...

  5. I like pointy basses but that just seems to be pointy in all the wrong directions. It's cool, it just please MY eye.

Yikes. Reminds me of what someone in that 80s Japanese metal group "Loudness" would've played. Anyone remember them?
