That great! I'm a grandfather to two boys, ages 5 and 2 1/2 months!

    Time fly's, doesn't it?

Congrats, being a grandfather is great!:hyper: When I am with my grandson for a day or two I am able to disconnect from everything else and give him my full attention. Something I could never do when I was raising my son. Maybe this is why some grandparents and grandchildren are so close.

Congratulations!!!!! We have 5 grand kids. Four boys aged 2-3/4 to 12-3/4, and one girl aged 9. I really think we have more fun and better relationships than with our own kids. And we really did ALOT with ours. Enjoy every minute with them. They grow up so quick.

  11. Congratulations. Healthy is happy. Any pix?
  12. Congrats, mister! I only know that being a grandfather has to be a joyful feeling like no other. Maybe like having a son of your own but still different.

I will never experience that (out of choice), but I can surely appreciate when others go through it. Again, congrats!
  13. I have three grandkids and they are really a lot of fun. They range in age from 4 to 8 and have an unbelievable amount of energy. I am very glad our daughter didn't wait until she was 30 to start having kids so that we have at least a slight chance of keeping up with them. For a little while anyway.

    Per forum rules, a pic.

Unfortunately, I'm in California and she's on Merseyside, UK.
I'll need to get travelling soon!

Thanks for the lovely responses. It does feel different. Very proud.

Maybe there should be a 'Grandparents who play bass' club!

Been there, done that. My daughter's daughter is 2.

Just remember: Wind 'em up. Then give 'em back.
