I'm a Travelin' Man.......

    Spent the last week on vacation with the family in Hilton Head Island, SC

    Here's the view from the patio of our condo.....

    Lot of golf, lot of tennis, lot of bike riding.....Took my Gospel Musicians DVD and two basses with me, so I did get in some practice time

    Last Sunday night we went to The Jazz Corner and saw a group called "Deas Guys". If you are ever in the HHI / Savannah Georgia area, you HAVE to check them out. They play Sunday nights at The Jazz Corner and you need to make reservations a couple weeks in advance if you want to see them.

    Anyone else have any cool vacations / travel you want to talk about?

    We've done two this summer. The most recent was the Hyatt Hill country Resort in San Antonio. It was pretty nice, but because I had family in the area, we didn't have a chance to take advantage of much beyond the pool/lazy river. Our view sucked, so no pictures.

    The other was The Grand in Fairhope, Alabama. I found it more relaxing, partly because it's only a few hours from my house, but it really seemed more laid back than the Hyatt. The view from our room was better, too:

    We almost stayed there. We ended up sleeping on NJL's lawn instead. :D

    It's a nice place, I just didn't find it as relaxing as I had hoped. That might have been the presence of my brother-in-law, though. My kids loved it. As far as NJL's lawn, it apparently isn't far from my sister's house.
