For a tad under $300 I'm really enjoying my recently acquired 4-string peavey g-bass (black sparkle). It's graphite and microtilt/shim neck is great and the bass has a ton of growly output. I own many more 'boutique' basses, but this one is certainly getting the playing time lately ;) I can get the action ridiculously low.. It almost reminds me of the flea bass I used to own. Anyways, that is all.. Back to reality (ie. work).. Ick ;)

Congrats, great score, I always wanted one, but unfortunately, they don't come lefty. What a surprise.

    Congrats.

I have the 5 string version, the neck is to die for.

I was surprised how good they were, and even more surprised about how cheap they go simply because Peavey's name on it. Almost picked one or two up.

Not mine, but it has the same color, specs, etc as mine.. I think it looks unique (some may say gawdy.. but I dig it) :)

I think they're sexy in their own way. Kinda Fleabass like. I recall it had a very comfortable neck, but could you measure the nut for me?

I call mine my 'all weather bass'. I use it on the coast in bad weather when I don't want to take my wood-necked basses out. It's a keeper. Not truly 'warm', but very articulate. Great neck.
