Baird6869 RIP Gord Downey. A True Canadian Icon.

The bassist in a Toronto band called LMT Connection plays a similar bass. In person it looks even better.

    WOW nice!
  3. I agree on the Donut comparison - first response was get a cup of Coffee.

But it is a very cool looking finish and unique.

    FROST-burst = "coolest" finish?? LMAO!!!:p:D

Seriously though, Brubaker does some utterly amazing finishes on the spalt-maple tops.

Someday....someday I will have him do one in sapphire blue and emerald green.

Makes me hungry. I don't think I could/would ever play this though, I don't know why because I really like the finish.

I've seen pics of Brubakers on here that I thought were absolutely beautiful. For me, this isn't one of them (I agree with the Krispy Kreme comparison).

But hell, don't let anyone here stop you! If you dig it, go for it.

first thing I thought when I saw it was "Oh no! I spilled my milk on my bass!! "

well-crafted, but way too 'busy' for me.

On the other hand, why not get install some kind of custom cooling unit in your instrument and play on REAL ice cold wood?? :D :bassist:

    too looks oriented for me
  17. It's really nifty. I like the shape of the body and everything too. Only I would want some of sort of black finish on it. Looks damn good though.

Exactly! I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder, but my taste is much more minimalist.
