sorry, i was just hoping that someone could IM me on AIM. but anyway:
    I have a dbx 266 XL
I have threshold ratio for all, attack, release, output gain, auto button, overeasy button, bypass button, stereo couple button.
i am having trouble with the buttons/knobs do. it's confusing me (-40db, +40db) what turning each way does, and also what the gain reduction meter does (30-1), ect... thanks!

    Try This

Click where it says Compression. If that doesn't get you started on the way to success...

Push in the "over-easy" button and the "auto" button. Leave the rest alone.
