It's purple in real life. But anyway... This beast has been in the family since it's birth in 1985. My grandma bought it new, and gave it to my dad in 87. My dad has kept it ever since. It's been mine for over two years, and I can't get enough of it. The 1.783L inline 4 cyl engine pumps out a crazy 89HP and 100 ft/lbs of torque. I've been meaning to fill it up the past few days. I go to the mobil and fill it up from empty with $21.50. Mind you, this is the mobil.. not the cheapest gas ($2.29/gal). I love it .
no reason to be sorry! I know I busted you that I had dated a girl that drove one (back in 87 no less)... but tell you what, it was a fun car to drive and the Rabbit GTI of that era were happening little cars too.
I miss my '82 VW rabbit convertible none of the guages on it worked except the spedometer, and that was only most of the time. We nicknamed my baby "The Millenium Rabbit" (SW reference...not the year 2000) That car was awesome....I pushed it uphill when I ran out of gas on several occasions
you should be sorry! Pacman should be more sorry though, mother nature would be ashamed. Now lets all learn guitar, smoke weed and fight corporations!
Once we win this battle over the corporations....where will we get our goods and services? I think individuals should open up small businesses to fill the void. To get a better pricing deals and to make manufacturing smoother, individuals in complementary industries should band together with financiers and form....oh...wait. Mike
Those rims are mad stylish. And those "highlights" on the upholstery, very custom. Seriously though I wish I had a car.
89 HP.. it's a beast! At least it's a somewhat unique car.. I don't see many convertible rabbits around, especially purple ones. Can you by chance fit a DB in that? Corvettes are actually much more efficient than any small SUV out there.. the 2005 gets 28 hwy/19 city, very respectable for a chunky V8. GM gets blasted a lot, but they build the most fuel efficient V8's in the world. The 2wd 1/2 ton 2005 Suburban gets 1 mpg better than a Toyota 4runner with a v6. Heck, a buick century gets the same milage as a v6 honda. People need to get the American car=bad milage thing out of their heads. My 19 mpg corvette-guts-filled bass-hauling beast!
I drove to NYC and back 70$ of gas (when it was 2.99ish). I'm not sure exactly what the MPG on my car is... but it's pretty good .
I love my project Van Will be looking at around 175rwkw's when I get my P's. It just got the new front end, so that's why they don't match up
Yeah, my V6 Explorer doesn't even come close...neither does mama's V6 Mustang. Go figure. My Vette is my 'green' car
Hey Jon (only I would notice this because I'm an idiot), if you look at the "spokes" on your rims, you'll see that the front and rear ones don't match. The front ones curve one way, while the rear curves the other way. No big deal, but I'll bet if you look at the rims somewhere on them (usually in the center near the lug nuts) you'll find a stamp denoting which two should be on the left (driver) side and which should be on the right (passenger) side. They may even be labeled for front and rear position as well.
What's a car? My daily driver... On top of Lion's Back, in Moab... The Overlook of Golden Spike, also in Moab... Coming down High Dive on Behind the Rocks, you guessed it.. Moab... Oh and the obligatory driveway shot... Just enough room for my bass rig too!
How do you like those Wrangler MT/R tires? I'm starting to see the rock climbing jeeps run those as much if not more than Super Swampers. Fwiw I've run both and liked both, although I think the Swampers handled better in the snow.
