hey guys. Im thinkin of gettin a new Fernandes Gravity 4M. Ill try to get a pick for you guys soon. there is not a pic of it on fernandesguitars.com but you can see it on axslinger.com. Anyway, i have a Fender MIM p-bass right now that i like. But, I dig the whole P/J pickup configuration. I also like the fernandes body too. Anyway, lemme know what you think. Thanks a lot.

at a local guitar shop. I like them. Made in the same factory as Ibanez. I don't like Ibanez mostly because of their designs, I like the Fernandezes I've tried.

I've had my apb-4, later called gravity for at least six years. I have not tried a bass with better action yet. I have a studio and just finished recording a girl band. I actually chose the fernandes before my stingray 5 when i recorded them :)

If you don't mind that it doesn't say fender on the head stock you cannot go wrong with that bass.
It is no coinsidece fernandes is the biggest selling brand in Japan. I don't remember what the original pickups sound like though, I had them replaced by semour duncans just after i got the bass. Feel free to mail me if you have any questions

So true! Fernandes is absolutely HUGE over here. I'm looking at a 5 string model right now and, at one third the price of a Ray 5, it certainly isn't one third the instrument. I'd say go for it! They cretainly beat out any Ibanez in the same price range.

  6. Aren't Fernandes instruments made in Japan? I'm pretty sure I heard that somewhere.

Yes, they are made in Japan. In the same facility that makes higher end MIJ Ibanez instruments and MIJ Fender models. At least that's what I've heard.
