I'm addicted to caffeine. I really can't operate in the morning without it. I use to hate coffee, then it became a rare drink (I loved the coffee house fancy stuff 'iced mocha and whatnot'.) Now, I work consistant mornings and I neeeeeed coffee every work morning. That started out, there is a coffee pot at work and drinking coffee became something to do, now I'm dying because coffee brews so damn slow.
2. Unfortunately I need my LaVazza fix every morning otherwise I just don't function - a shower and a good strong cup of joe are my two essentials for any day of the week - I also eat breakfast - as I think these are fundamental elements of a routine that I swear by. I know I shouldn't use any stimulants, but I do, but I have promised myself a well-earned and much needed detox after my 32nd birthday this week - it's time to get some of that crap out of my system....I dig coffee for playing lots of bass too, really gets my juices going in the morning....nuff said.
3. a glass of pepsi at 6am does the same thing :D

I hate coffee too. Mostly, because it tears up my stomach & gives me really bad breath. I like caffe mocha's, but that's expensive... So, I drink Diet Mtn Dew... Probably 3, 20 ouncers a day.

Is it an addiction yet? If so then, yes.

I think caffeine is more a sign of the times than adulthood. I too have been addicted in some form since about 14. Used to get the shakes after school if I didn't have a soda or a coffee.
9. Nice - BTW I drink mine BLACK - that's the healthy option. I am so tired today, but feeling good, I might have my third cup - I'm seeing Patitucci tonight with Corea's Elektric band - with Gambale and Weckl tooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
10. Lets just say that when I walk into my local Starbucks, I dont have to speak a word......
11. Lucky R%&%*^^*( id love to see chick corea......pity he'd never come over here :bawl: ...if ya get the chance to talk to him tell him to come over to NEWCASTLE or SYDNEY :smug: ...but i get to see steve vai with billy shehan in 2 weeks :spit: (somehow i dont think that makes the same grade as corea) but ive been watching two return to forever videos constantly almost...a very special concert and with nancy wilson......oh and to be on topic...i prefer tea, and vanilla tea
12. im getting worried, we have a starbucks here now :ninja: , gonna be like that simpsons episode where bart egts the tatoo and when he walks out every store in the mall is a starbucks :smug:...but ill admit, i had a caramel coffee, but plenty of caramel and whipped cream :D ..but i cant beleive some of the prices..almost $20aus for 1 cup of coffee, when a 750g jar of moccona instant costs less than that

13. Yeah , neither can my wallet
14. i get free cofie until 10 at my local gas station. not only is it coffie, but its free.
15. IMO - Starbucks sucks That ain't real coffee dude! Treat yourself to good Italian coffee and taste the difference - Starbucks is just toffee flavoured milk - and very fattening too! I love these bloody celebrity diet tips - one of my recent faves being Tom Hanks declaring that drinking black tea (like I do) helped him lose loads of weight - all he did was stop drinking (eating) umpteen Starbuck froth-a-chinos a day - do yourselves a favour....sorry, I know I don't need to say all that - cos you already know it - I'm heading out to the gig soon - so I'll shut it for now.

Peace M

I can't take coffee black, I need to Dr. it up quite a bit. I've taken to adding cocoa mix lately. MMMMMMMMM. I'm going to get one of those coffee pots that turn on automatically in the morning and get some really good coffee, make getting up early a treat.
