I recently replaced my old, cheep noname 1x15/1x10 cab for a better PV 4x10. Then the thought occured to me, since I still haven't gotten rid of the old one yet, to hook them both together. Would this be bad? The guy I bought the old one from "said" it was 8 ohms, but there's no way of being sure since he build it himself. the new one is 8 ohms. any one see any problems with this? I don't exactly want to break my amp.

Well, if you're running two eight ohm cabs in parallel, the overall load would be four ohms. If you amp can handle a four ohm load (most likely, but check just to make sure) then there shouldn't be any problems at all.
