To quote the Talking Heads: "You may say to yourself, my God, what have I done?"

I am in the midst of an SX upgrade project and wanted DiMarzios. Not wanting to pay the $100 to $130 for the Ultras or the DP123s these came along this morning on Ebay and I got them for $68 shipped. I had missed out on a similar set a week or so ago for about the same price so I just bit no questions asked. It was birthday money, what the heck, right?

So for the DiMarzio experts, I think I just got an old set of the DP123s, which is what I wanted. Yes? No? Maybe so?

yea those look like the dual coil Model J's. Great pickups if you ask me. I just put some in my jazz and they are dead quiet.

Yep, you ratfink. Those were the ones. :D One minute they were there, and the next . . .

Talked to my seller and mine sound like a great set of pickups so my impulsiveness looks like it paid off.

Good score. I have a set of DP123's in my Jazz bass. IMO they sound great. They have lots of punch and they're dead quiet.

Does anyone use Ultra J's with flats? How does it sound?
