In Ear Monitors

    Does anyone have any experience using in-ears such as the Shure PSM series? If so, how did you like them in terms of tone and frequency response?

    Our group has been on a mission for more than a year to use in-ear monitors. The singers LOVE them. The band does not. The bass response is so poor, that every time that I have ever tried to use them, I end up pulling them out and depending on what I can hear from the subs and the house. (I play direct without an amp)

    The ones that we were using were Shure, but I don'r recall the model. I do know that they cost about $500 each.

    my experience is the same as Chasarms. There is nooooo booty to them, and the band (a praise band also) felt "isolated" from each other. The only band member who liked them was the guitar player who had done more sessions than anything else.
