  1. My gk 400rb is dying on me and I need to buy a new amp. Any suggestions?
  2. i'd get the same thing if you thought it suited your needs and you liked it. But if you've got the money, I'd think about the 800 rb. Same tone I suppose, just more headroom.

All good amps, with different characteristics .

Do you really want 29000+ opinions ??

Try 'em out...what ever works for your situation is cool.

  4. Go for the ampeg svt 3 pro. It's loud and it has a great sound. Anyways it is an AMPEG. So I would suggest that.

    Bah, Ampeg this, Ampeg that.

If cheap is your deal, look into a peavey head.
If it's not, Eden, SWR, and GK is very good.

get a mesa boogie Mpulse. I a/b'd this with ampeg swr and eden and it blew them all away. Not only did I get it to sound like the others but it had way more other sounds as well. 360 or 600 watts of power, Tube pre, 5band semi parametric eq, compression, 2 volumes, footswitch, DI, and FX loop. Everything you need and nothing you don't.

I am very happy with my SVT-AV head. I would go for an SVT-CL (same as the SVT-AV) or an original 70s SVT. They dominate.
