I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death...:bassist:

But FWIW, just another endorsement for the SX. I've had a fretless P-bass copy lying around for a few years as a backup--I've only used it a couple of times when I didn't want to haul my upright, and I never really paid much attention to it: after setting it up, it was functional and that was that. I recently acquired a MIM Jazz, and a Carvin B4F, and have opportunity to compare them. Not only is the SX a functional player, but it sounds pretty damn good. Even through a shotty amp, it growls very nicely--especially on the low end.

I paid something on the order of $109.00 for this--it being the cheapest of the line at the time. Amazing what a C-note will get you these days.

  2. That seems to be the general consensus of the large majority of SX users. Everybody seems to love them, and for good reason.

BTW, no pics, no bass. ;)

Quick demo I did of the $89 SX Jazz. The video got cut off, but you'll get the idea about how good these basses sound for the $$$

Yeah, boobs and bass. They never get old.

  8. I"ll beg. I'm begging for an original SX photo, not the rondo ones. Give us the money shot.

I love the playboy comparison, that's an instant classic.

    Blasphemer.

    I love Fender.

Without Fender there would be no SX.

Thanks, it's a great sounding amp. I wish the cheapo camera mic would be able to capture the tone better. Oh well. Still sounds pretty good even with the camera mic.
