If/when I find a back routed P body in my price range (cheap), I'm going to do this, as black lines on matte paper white. White pup covers and knobs (that go to 11) are a piece of cake. Black strings, bridge & tuners... she will be mine. Oh, yes. She will be mine.

Didn't know it was a 'thing' - Close, but no cigar. Everything should be matte white and outlined in matte black for the optimal gestalt. Devil's in the details. ;)

It is a good one. There was an actual company in Kansas City Mo when I lived there in the 70's called "Related Products" - which essentially could be anything! "Geo from Related Products here... what do you need?"

Not a bass, but I hope you'll let this one through anyway.

. Currently on Reverb (not my sale, no relation to the seller, etc.) "The timbre sounds somewhere between a small, concert acoustic guitar and a banjo. For a silly, sort-of proof of concept, it doesn't sound half bad," from the ad description.

Not too weird but certainly different.

Some of the offerings from Citron Guitars are definitely unique if not different enough to be really considered weird

They make a Steve Swallow signature bass that is pretty sweet

  10. A backwards guitar in a Bass thread? I don't know... :cautious:

There's already those backwards Strats... besides, if you want to go backwards there's always ...

    [IMG] DAD's Stig Pederson.

Actually, that guitar would be GREAT if it were an Archtop with ff-holes... :ninja:

The painted-white-with-line-drawings geetars previously posted are Awersum! Need to do that to an archtop hollowbody bass ...

Yes, I'm on an Archtop kick ...

Can't stop, addicted to the Archtop
Chop chop, getta thin body or a wide bass
Choose not a style of stagnation
Distort reality to the point of aggravation…

Maybe it's just me, but I never considered a T-bird weird.

Another 'not a bass', and not weird - just very tasteless. Must be a guitarist thing...

ED2EBD4B-8B01-40E3-98EF-62D0AA5F82A1. That Stig Pedersen is an interesting character. He found he only played on the E and A strings at gigs so decided to go with two stringers. I just noticed he’s a lefty. The band name D.A.D. stands for Disneyland After Dark.

That's Bumblefoot toe-ing the Stratocaster line, but on that note he put his best foot forward and nailed it, even if it has a fallen archtop... flatfoot floogie and the floyd floyd... Such a heel, I bet an orthotic would help his tone. I know, I know... put a sock on it, but if the Shoe pedal fits, shouldn't he stomp on it? I bet that guitar'd look great in a thong, but not a pump.
Look at the ankle of his wrist... horrible, probably lead to athlete's foot. Well, that was a tickle...

LESS GITTERS N MOAR BASS, dagnabbit.
