Admin/mod: Please change "In Progress:" to "Completed:" Thanks. =D

Been on a Lennon kick lately. Made it through 77 of the ~250 tracks of his that I have.

Anyways, Stand By Me came on the shuffle. Been a bit emo lately as the theater shooting was a mile from my house and I'm waiting to hear confirmation if someone in the Air Force who I know is among the dead.

About to drop a recording of it, like, now.

-- Acoustic with a mic, probably throw some reverb on it, or do two tracks in stereo.
-- bass out the amp with the DI. Got this neighbor kid's Cort bass, kinda looks like a Rick but with two soapbar pickups and active electronics.
-- May use the acoustic as the drums, beat on it a bit.

Feel free to suggest unique or particular recording techniques; think of like a community project if you want.

This isn't the version on my iPod, but you get the idea:

    Step one: Learn the chords.

Same chords, over and over. Yay for layering.

Layed down two acoustic tracks. Not bad. Usually my worst instrument.

This bass recording (still jamming it out) will probably be my most in-the-pocket recording ever, almost completely devoid of fills and runs.

    Enjoy.

Ended up using my ESP, as that Cort is whack and the intonation is way off -- told the kid I'd fix the setup.
