in your roof?

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by Icey101, Jun 11, 2012.

  1. ok i love the roof, ontop, inside etc....

theres so much room up there in the roof.....on the weekend i got up in the roof and wired up a light and a powerpoint so i could see, thats a good start, next i bought some lengths of pine and started puting together a little platform up there, its half finished, i'm going to build some walk ways around in the roof for easy access instead of hanging off the joists every time i got up there, theres no load bearing joists up there so i have to be careful how i construct this thing for light use it should be fine...

have you got anythig going in your roof?

I do not. Where we live now, it would be really nice to have a rooftop deck. In our last house, not so much.

    he's in Australia.

My theory is that he's hiding from the meter-wide human-eating Oz-spiders that cry like distressed babies in order to lure hapless human victims. They live in basements, ergo, you head to the roof.
That, and it's fun hunting the flying platypuses.

That should be great! A garage we rehearse in has a nice deck like that with a canvas roof and a view. Nice for breaks.

  17. And solid anchoring points, you don't just want something pinned to a thin sheet of pine.
