Incredibly Useful Exercises..

    I think Denis does a great job on YouTube.
    The one thing that I really like is how he continues to stress the point that, with any exercise, it is a mini performance, so when he starts, he doesn't stop. I know that with a difficult passage this is sometimes where I stumble, but I can see how mimicking a real performance is adding a layer of extra care when practising. For me the take away is to isolate the technicality, work on it before then putting it all together.
    Sometimes, I have to remind myself of these little gems!!

    Thanks Damon, yes, I've seen and used some. Although, as I have said previously, in another thread, they all seem to be essentially variations on the themes set by Simandl, or Bille?? Strictly my opinion, of course.
