I am working on a build that would give you any possible bass electronics configuration
The idea is to have 3 superquad sims (quad coil that acts as either as a split coit (pbass) songle coil (Jbass) or Humbcuker (MM)) pickups with each volume and tone and an on off switch that then go through an audere 4 bands active preamp with a bypass switch
in order to save space and not make too many holes in the bass Im using the noll stacked 500K volume and tone push pull tone pot
there are two things in my wiring scheme that Im unsure of:
1 should i wire tone and volume in series or parallel
2. how should I bypass the pickup to diminish the load if im not using the pickups as if there is only 2 or 1 pickups
there is a picture to see clearer what Im talking about
This is the link to all the products Im planing to use
Noll 250k Stacked Volume/Tone (Push/Pull) Control - Best Bass Gear
Classic V 4B 3H Gold
Sims Super-Quad Hand Wound Bass Pickups — Sims Guitar Works UK | Super-Quad Pickups, Enfield Bass Guitars, Spray Shop, Custom LEDs, Pickguards, Servicing, Repair
this would be the series option but with the tone first
And this would be the paralel option with the volume first
