    i was considering to replace the original pick-ups on my american vintage '62 jazz bass with the fender Custom shop '60 jazz bass pick-ups;
    anyone have these pick-ups?
    something about basslines antiquity 1 and 2?

    I've tried the Fender Custom Shop, Seymour Duncan Antiquity, and the DiMarzio Ultra Jazz. And the winner is_ _ _ _ _

    DiMarzio Ultra Jazz!!

    They were also the cheapest, but that has no bearing on my decision.

    Good Luck!

    I have a bass with the DiMarzio Ultra Jazz & they're really nice pickups but I just recently played my friends early USA 62 RI & it was on fire. It was stock & I wouldn't change the pickups.

    What I noticed was that the bass with the Dimarzio's was warmer & slightly compressed sounding while the 62 was had crisp highs, great lows & it was very open sounding.
